After a critically acclaimed support show with The Lines, Dakota Beats are back playing their first local headline show of 2012. Coming at the end of a full UK tour in February this show at the Slade Rooms will also see the launch of their new limited editionEP recorded with Ryan Pinson. Launching in January 2011, Dakota Beats have quickly become one of the Midlands most talked about bands.Spending much of 2011on the road building upafollowing across the UK this will be one of the only chance you will get to see the band live in their home town this year. We invited you to come and see what the hype is all about.
"Whilst Viva Brother have yet to prove they possess souls with their bolshiness, Dakota Beats are a band to ooze natural swagger, particularly the swirling 'Mary Jayne' to the pounder 'Fire Desire'. The general consensus is Dakota Beats are an altogether different beast - slicker, more polished, and more ambitious" Samuel Lambeth, The Scrawny Online
"An effervescent, brief opening set from Dudley-based five piece, Dakota Beats, celebrating a deliciously tight, young band oozing songwriting potential. And no more so obvious that with the exquisite set closer 'Come Home', a crafted little gem with soaring optimism and melodic insistency. Watch this space." John Kennedy, Birmingham Live
"In a local music scene that seems at a bit of a standstill at the moment, Dakota Beats are definitely the group that are pushing things forward and are the ones to watch" Joe Churchman, WolvesUnion.org

Main support on the night comes from Walsall band the Two 'N' Eights. Formed in early October 2009 after meeting at a rehearsal room in the early hours of a Sunday morning, bleary eyed and talking nonsense they realised they shared a common belief in how music should sound and how gigs should make you feel. Described as sounding like the night before the morning afterthey have supported many touring bands including Detroit Social Club, strap yourself in and enjoy the ride.
