UK 3 piece ARCANE ROOTS have so far, in their 10 year period, released 2 mini albums ('Left Fire' in 2011 and 'Heaven & Earth' in 2015) and a debut full length album ('Blood & Chemistry' in 2013). They have toured and played shows across the UK and Europe with the likes of Muse, Biffy Clyro, Enter Shikari, Jimmy Eat World, AWOL Nation, Fightstar and many more. They have also been an ever present at UK and European festivals from Download to BBK, Groezrock to Reading and Leeds.

After a wait of nearly 4 years, ARCANE ROOTS return with their stunning, brand new, 2nd album 'Melancholia Hymns', which is set for release through Easy Life/Red Essential on September 15th. The band also release their new single 'Matter' today (22nd May) following it's world exclusive first play last night on the Radio 1 Rock Show.

The album release follows on from the first single 'Curtains', and much like that track, 'Melancholia Hymns' is full of ambition, electronica, riffs, strings, darkness and light. It is an album to lose yourself in completely, a complex musical journey for your mind and your heart. A record with so much love, care and attention that you can't help but feel the passion that has gone making it, and marvel at its scope and sheer size.

Live wise, ARCANE ROOTS can today also announce a full UK and European tour through late September/October. Before then, the band will be playing at Liverpool Sound City, and then support to Evanescence in London (at the Hammersmith Apollo) on June 13th and 14th. Shows at Download Spain (24th June), Dobrofest in Russia (30th June), Gurten Festival in Switzerland (12th July), Truck Festival (21st-23rd July) and at Reading and Leeds Festival (25th-27th August). This will be their 2nd appearance at Reading and Leeds in the last 2 years.
